Mantra is a sacred utterance consisting of syllables and words. The sound vibrations (Japa) of a mantra when repeated, helps the mind reach a near empty state. The practice calms the nervous system and relieves stress and anxiety.
Ancient Sanskrit chants uplift the consciousness because our consciousness knows these sound vibrations at a deeper level. In our 45 minute class we will learn simple chants, the correct pronunciation, the tone and rhythm and then we will all chant together as a group followed by few minutes of meditation to soak in the vibrations.
Sooth the body and mind on Sunday evening with delicious and slow passive stretches, and extra shavasana time. Allow the body to enter the rest state, with sweet sensation of peace and content.
Hands-on adjustments are often applied to offer deeper tissue opening. Students can make it optional by utilizing the consent card.
This is a extremely soothing practice designed to recharge, and enhance a good night sleep!
