Sangha Retreat
May 16-18 | A Journey of Self & Connection
Join us for the Sangha Retreat, a gathering rooted in the intention to explore the interconnectedness of self and others. This retreat invites you to deepen your relationship with yourself while opening your heart to the beauty of community.
Morning yoga practices will offer space for quiet reflection, grounding you in your own essence. Through partner yoga, we’ll embody trust, support, and presence. In the spirit of giving and receiving, we’ll engage in practices rooted in devotion to both self and sangha—mindful experiences like a tea ceremony, co-creating a vibrant mandala, spending soulful time in nature, sharing our voices collectively through kirtan, and other amazing activities.
The essence of this retreat is to honour the dance between solitude and togetherness, and remember that within the heart of community, we find deeper reflections of ourselves, while feeling the support of community.
This is our fourth year of hosting retreats at the beautiful Harmony Dawn Retreat Centre, nestled on 50 acres of rolling meadows and forests. Completely self-sufficient and off the power grid, Harmony Dawn offers pristine country air with some of the highest oxygen levels in Ontario. Its serene Rice Lake, with its shallow, inviting waters, is perfect for a refreshing swim. Nourishing homemade meals feature herbs and vegetables grown on-site and sourced from surrounding organic farms, adding to the retreat’s grounding experience.

Harmony Dawn Retreat Centre
Harmony Dawn was built in 2003 and was custom designed as a green retreat centre, using most of the sustainable energy technologies available. It was voted one of the greenest buildings in Canada. It also incorporates the owners' Feng-shui and Yin-Yang knowledge,
The Yoga Studio: The studio is bermed into the top of the hill, while the front offers sunny, expansive views of rolling hills through their 10-foot, floor-to-ceiling, high-tech windows. You feel as if you are sitting out in a high, open meadow and foxes, turkeys, and deer occasionally walk by. Berming is the technique of totally or partially covering a building in earth to take advantage of the temperature of the earth, 55 F or 13 C., through all seasons. Their studio also has radiant-heated floors, which can adjust to the required room temperature. There is a living “green roof” over the studio.
Accommodations: Their central pod houses the living room, bedrooms and washrooms and is also partially bermed. All floors boast large windows; all washrooms have heated floors. There is a wood-burning, glass-windowed masonry fireplace in the living room, which heats all three floors. Please let us know your preference to stay with another practitioner(s), we will do our best to honour the request.
First Floor - Yoga Space / Common Area / Dining Room (outdoor dining also available) / Washroom
Second Floor - 3 Shared Rooms with Bunk Beds (2-4 people per room) / Bathroom
Third Floor - Open Concept Loft (4-6 people, divided with screens & plants)
Sleep Cabin - Single Bed on main floor + Small Loft with single Bed
Group size: ~ 14 participants.
Meals: Nicola has had a life-long passion for food and cooking going back to her childhood. She has worked in the food industry, had her own catering company, and found the perfect outlet for her food passion and knowledge as Chef of Harmony Dawn. Her cuisine encompasses international cooking from across the planet and speciality diets, including lacto-vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, macrobiotic and more. She is a passionate advocate for fresh, local and organic food whenever possible. At HD, they grow a selected variety of organic herbs and vegetables and have access to a wider variety within the local organic farming community.
During the retreat, we will be serving delicious fresh vegan meals.

EDDEE HUANG
Eddee is the studio director of Inye Yoga. His invitation to all students is to experience and deepen their connections to the physical, energetic, mental, and the subtle bodies through Yoga. Whether it is through Hatha asana, pranayama, meditation, hypnotherapy or reiki, as long as one is willing to step across the open door of awareness, he would provide guidance to aid their journey.
Eddee's main Hatha Yoga principle for deep integrated work is patience. He strives to bring flexibility and mobility back to the spine, to grow tall and move with freedom, and to re-introduce natural alignment back to the body. His practices are conducted gracefully and methodically, and he invites the students to re-discover their physical and mental boundaries while exploring their unique path. Move and discover, that's how we grow and evolve.
Eddee is a certified E-RYT200 teacher, certified Reiki Master, and a clinical hypnotherapist. He aims to provide judgement free practices & a sacred space for every practitioners.

SHANINE DENNILL
After being touched by the death of a family member at a young age, Shanine questioned the meaning of life and death. This led her to study healing and spirituality with masterful teachers. Through her studies and life experiences, she intuitively guides her students to access an inner wisdom that propels them to live to their greatest potential.
Shanine was introduced to yoga while studying massage therapy in 1999 (in South Africa). It wasn't until she came to Canada in 2001 that she fell deeply in love with it. She completed her first 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2008. She then completed another 200-hour yoga training (with an alignment focus), a Meditation teacher training program, and her 300-hour yoga teacher training. She owned a yoga studio for 10 years and is grateful to continue to share yoga with so many students, especially at Inye Yoga.
Shanine is an E-RYT 500 teacher with Yoga Alliance. She also teaches Yoga Nidra and Meditation and is completing her trainings in Reiki and Folk Herbalism. Her yoga practices are heavily influenced by Tantra Yoga (from the Sri Vidya lineage). This includes intelligent sequencing of poses to feel more embodied, focusing on the breath and meditation to stabilize the mind and manage energy to realize the true Self.
"At Inye Yoga, the practice considers your heart, mind and body. The instructors are excellent, everyone encourages you to practice at your own pace and ability. Whether you are new or seasoned you will find comfort and support here."
