YOGIC TEA RECIPE

Here are the many healing and delicious tea served in the Saturday 8:15am AyurYoga class, which introduces health, balance and soothing aroma to our practitioners. Now you can recreate these delicious Yogic teas at home, and enjoy all the benefits from nature's gifts. Please share these teas with people you love ❤ More to be added soon!

HEAVENLY YOGIC TEA

Benefits:

  • Boost Immunity, remove inflammation, regulate blood sugar, aid digestion, remove stomach acidity, detoxify body.

Ingredients: 

  • Few slices of fresh Ginger (omit during summer), 1 fresh Turmeric root (slices), 4 pods of cardamon, 4 cloves, 2-3 pieces of Lemongrass, 1 cinnamon stick (or a sprinkle of cinnamon powder), sprinkle of nutmeg. 

Preparation Method:

  • You can place all ingredients in a tea pot and add hot water, or you can boil all ingredients in a pot for 5-10 minutes.

  • Turn off the fire (*important: if using a stove),  let it cool down to a drinkable temperature, then add a table spoon of raw honey in to the tea.

  • Add some milk or plant base milk into the tea.

  • Sprinkle some black pepper into the tea and enjoy!

GLOW FLOW TEA

Benefits:

  • Boost immunity, reduce cholesterol, improve digestion health, improve bowl health, relief menstrual cramps, improve breast milk production.

Ingredients: 

  • Tea spoon of ginger (small pieces fresh / powder), tea spoon of turmeric (small pieces fresh / powder), 3-4 spear mint leaves or 1 tea bag, half tea spoon of Fenugreek seeds, 1 tea spoon of fresh lemon water.

Preparation Method:

  • Boil all ingredients in water, or sit in a thermos with hot water for 10-15 minutes

  • Add honey for taste when ready to drink on empty stomach.

ELIXIR OF LIFE

Benefits:

  • Boost Immunity, anti-aging, anti inflammatory, improve blood production, great anti-oxidants, improve eye and skin health, stabilizes blood sugar level

Ingredients: 

  • 6-7 Red dates (jujube fruit - pit in) / hand full of goji berries / 4-5 slices astragalus root

Preparation Method:

  • Wash all ingredients, and score each red date with a sharp knife to cut open the skin surface.

  • Place everything in a big pot with 3-4L of water. Bring it to boil all ingredients in a pot for 10-15 minutes. You can place everything into a big thermos and pure hot water in (and seal it)

  • Let the tea cool down, then use a slotted ladle to scoop the ingredients out. The goji berries and red dates are delicious and eatable!

  • Optional: mix a tea spoon of honey into a cup and enjoy this ancient recipe!

PURE PULSE INFUSION TEA

Benefits:

  • Reduce heart disease risk, anti inflammation, strengthen blood vessel, improve blood production, improve digestion

Ingredients: 

  • Thumb size ginger pieces fresh, equal size turmeric slices fresh, 4-5 cardamon pods (cracked open), half table spoon of coriander seed powder, 1 table spoon of fresh lemon water., pinch of black pepper.

Preparation Method:

  • Boil all ingredients in water for 3 minutes, or sit in a thermos with hot water for 10-15 minutes

  • Allow the tea to cool down a little, then stir in honey.
